how do you like the lens? :sherlock:
:iconperception-obscure:
I like it a lot for shooting far-away items, especially for this :) As for close-ups, I'm going to have to get one that zooms closer.

Damn, I should have known how addicting it would be to keep buying stuff for my camera. It's been only a day and I'm already craving another lens ... :lmao:

you can zoom in pretty close, like on this one [link] but in order to do so you have to keep your distance... i always get frustrated because i have to keep backing off from whatever i'm shooting, because i'm always creeping up too close :D
i hate switching lenses back and forth; why can't they make one that does everything? :crying:

Wow, that's gorgeous ! Hopefully my macros will look as good as that once I get the feel for it. I got all frustrated this afternoon, trying to get a decent macro. I'm so used to just standing really close to my subject, it's a little awkward shooting close-ups from far away. The focusing range could be a little better, but it's still a steal considering how expensive it is for a top-notch macro lens.

As for extremely close-up macros, I found a cheap solution : doing a reverse kit lens mod with a Nikon reverse lens mounting ring !! All I paid was $10 on Amazon. I'm telling you, Amazon is like the thrift store of the internet. I might also try it with my sigma lens. :w00t:

I really do hope they make a lens that does everything eventually. Could you imagine how expensive it would be, though ? :faint:
